I am viewing the videos on lesson 9 – the one piece pattern.  The end of the 2nd video describes the next video showing how to make the pattern.  The 3 rd video is a further explanation of the gusset.  Is there a 4th video that describes making the pattern?

Sorry –  I am looking for information of how to sew the pattern – not draw it

    Hi Rita,

Have you made the pattern yet? The drawing was the making of the pattern, you then cut it out,(review the picture) folded it up. There is only one way to sew it, you connect the seams and sew. One piece construction is sewing the two gusset seams together like you did for the T- bottom tote in the first lesson.

This class was more complex and involved type of construction. The sewing in many of the classes I don’t do, the reason for that is if you understand the pattern you made then you understand how to sew it. The figuring out of the sewing sequence helps you make better patterns, the two elements need each other to coexist and for you the designer to be more creative. When you design patterns you have to take in consideration the tools and machines you have on hand and design within those limitation. For example if your foot on your machine is 1/2 and you know the stitch needs to be close the edge, then you make a pattern to accommodated the foot. Please look at the photos below the videos, to help with the sewing. Hope this helps 🙂

    Hi Richard,

I have been trying to watch the videos for this lesson for 3 long days now. Despite trying every trick I can think of, I just can not view them. Half a sentence at a time is all I can view, then have to wait another few minutes for the next half sentence. They will not load, even with my ‘not so bad’ internet connection. I have not had too much trouble with all the previous videos, but this one is proving extremely frustrating. Any advice ?? 🙂 Thanks

Hi Elizabeth,Lesson 9 is a huge file that needs to be allowed to load, it’s 3gb so it takes time to load, but I have a solution it will take me a few hours to encode. When you are having trouble with a video please contact me then I can give you more options to view a video. Don’t struggle through them. i want the lessons to be enjoyable, not a pain in the you know what 🙂

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for that. I see that you have re coded the videos. Im sure you have had heaps to do with all the updates lately.

Unfortunately in my case it has only made a very small difference. The videos for Assignment #9 (one Piece) are still pretty much unwatchable. Im desperately trying to get though it in the next few days while I have time off work, but at this rate, its not looking like Ill even be able to watch the videos, let alone work on the bag.

Im not sure what the solution is. I havent had trouble with any other videos up till this one.

    Any further suggestions?

    Thanks

    🙂

    Elizabeth
