Hello, I am working on my totes and I am doing a rope strap and I made the leather too narrow to sew on my cylindar (unless it’s operator error) I am wondering if I could remove my walking foot on an industrial econosew and it would just leave the small foot, if that would allow me to get closer in to get a tighter seam? I want to try something before I have to trash four handles. I could leave it and just to the side strap but I have my heart set on conquering this.

While it is possible, I wouldn’t do it. You can get very close with a walking foot.

How about doing it this way:

It demos on how to sew a diamond stitch to a steering wheel. But it can be applied to a rolled handle
